JD-Next (JDN) Test Accommodations Procedures – How to Apply

1. Know your deadline. Candidates are encouraged to submit their request at the time of registration, to ensure that there is time to process the request and allow for resubmission or appeal, if needed. Please refer to the accommodations request deadlines for your session.

2. Read the Accommodations Guidelines, and be sure to share these with anyone who is preparing supporting documentation on your behalf.

3. Decide whether you will follow the Short Process or the Standard Process.

4. Gather and prepare supporting evidence that conforms to the Guidelines for either the Short Process or the Standard Process.

5. Complete the appropriate Accommodations Request Form.

  • Short Process Form
  • Standard Process Form

6. Wait for your request to be reviewed. Typically, you will hear back within 10 business days unless your request is unusually complex (in which case we will keep you posted about the status of your request).  Accommodations requests are reviewed in the order in which they are received. JDN does not expedite requests.

7. Receive a decision.

  • If your request is Approved, your approved accommodations will be applied to your test date.
  • If your request is Incomplete, you can resubmit your application once per session. A resubmission must be received by the final deadline for your session.
  • If your request is Denied, you can appeal once per session. An appeal must be received by the final deadline for your session.
